Lee Seong-jae and Lee Si-young are set to return as marine police officers in a new KBS2 Monday-Tuesday drama entitled “Poseidon.”
Lee Seong-jae will play a workaholic officer named Kwon Jeong-ryul who lost his wife in an accident, while Lee Si-young will play opposite him as his junior, Lee Soo-yun, with feminine looks but easygoing characteristics.
This is Lee Seong-jae’s first TV show in three years, drawing much anticipation for his performance. And he proved he is still fit and charming when he appeared at a studio to shoot title posters for the drama on August 20.
He and Lee Si-young struck poses whiled engaging in a boxing match and showed good harmony. This was particularly noticeable because Lee Si-young in reality won amateur boxing championships early this year.
The two’s harmony is reportedly adding levity to the filming of the drama, with Lee Si-young pleasing veteran members with her lively personality.
A staffer at the production company Annex Telecom said, “The drama will show the charms that the two actors have rarely showed so far. It is also a rare drama that deals with the life of marine police officers, so we are confident that it can hold viewers’ interest with its intriguing and novel plot.”
The show will begin on September 19.
