[news] Lee Dong Gun Has Less Than 100 Days Left in Army

With less than 100 days left until his release, Lee Dong Gun is gathering his strength to emerge from the army as a renewed man of steel.

Lee entered the army in June 2010, and is currently serving as a media officer. Although he is due for release on March 28, 2012, he is already receiving many love calls from various fields in show business, leading his agency Mask Entertainment to sort through offers for his next piece.

A rep from Mask Entertainment stated, “While in the past Lee Dong Gun had a gentle image, he transformed into a stronger and manlier person after his enlistment. Now he’ll fit well not only roles in melodramas, but also in tough action characters. He used to have a great body, but his physique has gotten even better, and although many worry that his complexion will have gone bad in the army, actually his tanned skin looks even tougher.”

Lee Dong Gun is currently boosting the country’s image in the army along with hallyu stars Lee Jun Ki and Hyun Bin. He is participating in many army events and good deeds, making him busier than when he was still in show business.

The agency rep said, “He plans to hold a simple fanmeeting after his release, and there are many Japanese fanmeetings and promotion events planned for April. He is also preparing his next piece to start working sooner, so please wait for him.”

Lee Dong Gun entered the army on active duty in June, and is currently serving as a media officer for the Defense Media Agency.
